An invited talk at the International Battery Association meeting in Bled

Piero Canepa gave an invited talk, “Millisecond Ion-Transport in Mixed Polyanion Battery Materials”, at the International Battery Association meeting IBA 2022, held on October 2–7, 2022, in Bled, Slovenia.

The talk was on how mixing silicate and phosphate groups speeds up sodium ions in the NASICON solid electrolyte Na_1+xZr₂Si_xP_3−xO₁₂, for all-solid-state sodium batteries, which we mapped with more than 2,000 kinetic Monte Carlo simulations, each following the ions’ motion over milliseconds (see our paper in Nature Communications with Zeyu Deng, Tara P. Mishra, Aaron J. K. Tieu and colleagues).
