I am a research scientist at DSO National Laboratories in Singapore.
I completed my undergraduate studies in the Faculty of Science at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2018, with a primary major in Chemistry and a second major in Mathematics. My final year project was carried out at the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) Institute of High Performance Computing (IHPC), under the supervision of Professor Xu Guo Qin (NUS) and Dr. Tan Teck Leong (A*STAR IHPC). The project focused on simulating the thermodynamics of alloyed titanium MXenes and predicting their functionalities using density functional theory, the cluster expansion method and Monte Carlo simulations.
My time in NUS Science sparked my interest in both experimental and computational materials research for functional applications. Outside of research, I spend my time trying to keep fit and making reading a lifelong habit.
