Hengning Chen

PhD student

After four years exploring my specific interest in science at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), China, while doing research from biochemical materials to energy materials, I was inspired by the field of energy storage. I worked on cathode materials for Lithium-ion batteries and conducted my bachelor project on Oxygen reduction reaction electrocatalysts. Hoping to delve deeper into this area taking full advantage of computational simulations, as a graduate student, I focus on energy storage devices through first-principles methods. Aside from scientific research, piano, dancing, badminton, cooking and aerobic exercises enrich my daily life, and provide me with energy and determination for every challenge.
