Piero Canepa and Yan Yao, then of the University of Houston’s Cullen College of Engineering, were interviewed on Houston Matters, Houston Public Media’s daily talk show on its NPR station, about how UH hopes to help build better, longer-lasting batteries. Listen to the segment:

The conversation was about the University of Houston’s part in the Energy Storage Research Alliance (ESRA), an Energy Innovation Hub funded by the U.S. Department of Energy that UH joined this month. Yan Yao leads the UH project, with Piero Canepa as co-principal investigator, combining the experiments of the Yao group with our computations to design solid-state batteries.
